Boomerangs

Boomerangs are unique, fascinating objects that are so simple to use that anyone who can throw a ball, can throw boomerangs.

However, to have a true understanding of how boomerangs fly and the many aerodynamics forces that give boomerangs their unique returning ability is a fascinating subject that dedicated Rang'ers (people who throw boomerangs) can take years to master.

Boomerangs come in many shapes and sizes, and every boomerang has it's own unique flight.

Once you understand the basics of how boomerangs fly, you can easily make your own with a few simple tools and basic plywood.

Boomerangs can be enjoyed on your own, just you, your boomerangs and the wind working in harmony.

If you enjoy competing with others, boomerang competitions give you the thrill of testing your skills against your friends. There are many different fun and challenging boomerang events that you can compete along side, or head to head with your fellow Rang'ers

Finally, making boomerangs can also be classified as a work of Art. Many are beautifully constructed, carved and decorated, but still remain a genuine, returning, sport boomerang.

The sport of boomerangs offers all this and much more.

This web site will introduce you to these fascinating, flying marvels.

If you're a beginner at throwing or making boomerangs, or if you're an old hand, check out the boomerangs to buy section to add to your collection.

I have been throwing boomerangs for many years, and I am a member of the Boomerang Association of Australia. I'd love to hear any comments you have about boomerangs or the web site. So email russell@boomeranginfo.com with your feedback.
